Professor David Burn took up the position of Pro-Vice Chancellor at Newcastle University in 2017. He is also Professor of Movement Disorders Neurology and Honorary Consultant Neurologist for Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Since designation by NIHR and NHS England in March 2020, David has been Director of Newcastle Health Innovation Partners, the Academic Health Science Centre for the Northeast of England and North Cumbria. He has been chair of the Northern Health Science Alliance Board since July 2018. He was President of the Association of British Neurologists 2019-2021.
