NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology

The Faculty of Medicine, supported by University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology. 

You will be developing your research and teaching within the Clinical and Experimental Sciences School of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton.  You will also have clinical commitments at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust that will lead to further clinical skills required for specialist training and leading to full registration within the specialty. 

The post is intended for an applicant within the specialty of Infectious Disease and Clinical Microbiology who has a research interest in controlled human infection and analysis of microbiologic and immunological data arising from such studies. The applicant will have a higher research degree (or have submitted for such a degree) and appropriate research experience. The post is subject to terms and conditions of service determined by the University of Southampton and in its honorary clinical capacity by the University Hospital Southampton Foundation Trust Board.
