Stoneygate Clinical Associate Prof. in Medical Education and Empathic Healthcare/Old Age Psychiatry

The University of Leicester, in partnership with Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust, is seeking to appoint a Clinical Associate Professor to undertake high quality research in the field of medical education, with a particular focus on empathic healthcare and to support the Centre Director in delivering the Centre’s objectives. You will be an old age psychiatrist possessing full GMC registration, a licence to practice, MRCPsych and Specialist Registration, with sub specialist expertise in empathic healthcare, or within 6 months of the interview date.
You will possesses strong academic, technical and leadership skills, and a real commitment to delivering & contributing to the University’s learning teaching and research strategies. You will also, undertake direct clinical service delivery within the Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) memory clinic service and playing a prominent role in shaping and developing the future of these services. An honorary Consultant contract will be sought from LPT.
The job plan will include five academic and five clinical programmed activities.
You will have an established track record & ongoing high quality clinically relevant research, which is evidenced by significant publications in peer reviewed journals & presentations of work at national & international meetings or a track record of relevant grant acquisition with a 3-5 year plan which fits into and complements the Centre for Empathic Healthcare.
