Senior GP Educator
University of Leicester

About the role
This is a Senior GP Educator role within the Medical School. The successful appointee will join an established team of senior GP educators and Medical School educators.
The post holder’s primary responsibility will be the leadership and delivery of the ‘teacher training’ programme for our new partnership programme with Chongqing Medical University (CQMU). The latter involves a joint BSc in Clinical Sciences delivered between University of Leicester and CQMU, and an undergraduate medical degree delivered by CQMU. One key element of this new relationship is that we must train their staff in the delivery techniques and ethos of our Leicester medical course. This post will lead on continued development and delivery of that training course, which will then be delivered over two weeks once-twice/year so as to ensure that CQMU staff are suitably trained in our educational methods.
Though development of the course will proceed across the year, there will be a relatively greater time commitment to this role in Leicester during the above-mentioned training weeks. Outside of the training weeks the successful appointee will contribute to leadership and delivery in areas of primary care within the Leicester Medical School curriculum.
