Associate Professor/Honorary Consultant in Stroke

We are seeking a high calibre clinician scientist (Stroke Medicine), possessing full GMC registration and a licence to practice to undertake academic and clinical delivery (5 PAs academic and 5 PAs clinical).
Applicants should have a high quality research profile and will further build their strong research and publication profiles, both nationally and internationally, to enhance impact activity and contribute to the improvement of the lives of patients. Appointees will collaborate with and supervise others in producing innovative research with a major influence on the discipline and making a significant contribution to the College's research and teaching strategies. Appointees will be contributors to the University’s REF return, or equivalent; be a significant generator of research income and supervise a team of clinical and non-clinical postgraduate and undergraduate researchers.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and clinicians who have been brought together in the Cerebral Haemodynamics in Ageing and Stroke Medicine group, within the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences, to develop a programme of high quality research directed at developing new personalised approaches to therapy. The group has a national and international reputation in translational and clinical research. In addition, you will be required to deliver consultant clinical duties to support the clinical service at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
