Associate Professor/Honorary Consultant in Nephrology
University of Leicester

You will be a high calibre clinician/scientist (Nephrology), possessing full GMC registration and a licence to practice.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and clinicians in the Cardio-renal Research Group within the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, which has a national and international reputation in translational and clinical research.
You will have a research profile of well-established national/international standing and be a significant research income generator able to enhance impact activity and develop a programme of high quality research. This will be directed at developing new personalised approaches to therapy and will enhance the cross-cutting themes between cardiovascular and renal research, including cardiovascular imaging, muscular biology and lifestyle interventions.
In addition you will supervise a team of clinical and non‑clinical postgraduate and undergraduate researchers and contribute to teaching delivery within the College.
In addition to five academic programmed activities, you will also deliver five programmed activities delivering consultant clinical service at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
