Associate Professor (Clinical) in Oncological Breast Surgery/Honorary Consultant

You will be a high calibre clinician/scientist (General Surgery with an interest in Oncological Breast Surgery), possessing full GMC registration and a licence to practice.
You will have a research profile of well-established national/international standing, be expected to be a significant research income generator and supervise a team of clinical and non-clinical postgraduate and undergraduate researchers.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and clinicians who have been brought together in in the Leicester Cancer Research Centre, within the Department of Genetics & Genome Biology, to develop a programme of high quality research directed at developing new personalised approaches to radiotherapy. The group has a national and international reputation in translational and clinical cancer research.
As part of the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre Cancer Theme, the holder of this post will develop and enhance cross-cutting research between Cancer and other themes including the Data Innovation and lifestyle themes.
In addition to five academic programmed activities, you will also deliver five programmed activities delivering consultant clinical service at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
