Are you an experienced Clinical Researcher with proven abilities to deliver high quality research in Rehabilitation Medicine within an internationally recognised centre of excellence? Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional student experience and developing education programmes in a leading University? If so, we have the ideal opportunity for you.

This is an exciting new post, working across the School of Medicine’s Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine (LIRMM), Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust. 

You will run a programme of high quality research focusing on the development and delivery of translational research in Rehabilitation Medicine as part of LIRMM working closely with the NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre. There will be opportunities for research in collaboration with teams of basic scientists and engineers working in this area.

You will also join an established clinical team, delivering clinical care to patients in the National Demonstration Centre for Rehabilitation at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service in Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust. In addition, you will contribute to the applied clinical research within the NHS Trusts.

You should have a record of successful research and publications together with demonstratable administrative and teaching skills. Qualifications and a special interest in neurological rehabilitation or another clinical area within Rehabilitation Medicine are essential. Candidates will be expected to have a postgraduate research degree, hold the MRCP or equivalent and be included on the GMC’s Specialist Register for Rehabilitation Medicine (or within 6 months of doing so).
