Clinical Research Fellow

Clinical Research Fellow

University of Leeds

Are you an enthusiastic and motivated clinician looking to gain experience in clinical research? Do you have an interest in musculoskeletal research? Do you want to further your career in one of the UK’s leading research intensive Universities?

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic clinician to work with world-leading musculoskeletal researchers at the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine.

This part-time post offers an opportunity to develop research skills and clinical experience in musculoskeletal disease. Responsible to Professor Philip Conaghan, you will support existing and new clinical research in common non-inflammatory musculoskeletal conditions (including osteoarthritis) that have a major impact on the community, and manage patients involved in clinical studies. You will work with the Osteoarthritis Clinical Trials and Research Nurse teams to provide medical support to MSK clinical studies, including clinical trials of investigational medicinal products (CTIMPs). The post requires working with key team members across the Institute and you will be integral to the success of the wider portfolio of research projects in musculoskeletal clinical research. There will also be an opportunity to work with Professor Conaghan to agree and implement clear priorities for research projects, and help with data analysis and publications.
