£34,466 to £51,069 per annum (Post 2009 scale)

This is a full time post offered on a fixed-term basis for up to four years, or to the award of CCT with potential for an additional grace period of 12 months, whichever is reached soonest, to coincide with the remainder of the post holder’s speciality training programme.

We are seeking a Clinical Lecturer to join us at the University of East Anglia. We are particularly interested in individuals from the following subspecialties: General Surgery or Public Health or Old People’s Medicine.

You will join a vibrant University and a research department with 50% of your time protected for research, whilst at the same time continue your training as a specialist registrar through a Health Education East of England NTN. This post is designed for trainees post-higher degree (PhD or MD), who can demonstrate outstanding potential for development as a clinical academic.

Applicants must have a PhD or MD (Res) prior to starting the lectureship, evidenced by either a degree certificate or a letter from a University stating that they will be awarded a higher research degree before the lectureship start date. Holders of a CCT are not eligible to apply. This appointment will be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
