The University of Wolverhampton is seeking to appoint a Phase 2 Lead to work on Years 3, 4 and 5 of the delivery of its new MBChB course. You will work closely with the Dean of Medicine, and the Head of School, to operationalise the delivery of the curriculum and to complete the process of securing Primary Medical Qualification (PMQ) awarding rights from the GMC. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the strategic direction and delivery of the curriculum in Years 3, 4 and 5 in the United Kingdom in collaboration with the local NHS and other key stakeholders.
The Phase 2 Lead is a senior clinical academic management role within the School and will work closely with the contingency School (Aston Medical School) to ensure alignment across the two institutions, whilst also developing a unique identity for the Black Country Medical School programme. The post offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinical medical educator to gain school-wide management experience.
You will hold full GMC registration with a licence to practice, and be working within a clinical role, with experience of clinical teaching, learning and assessment to medical students and/or resident doctors. We welcome applications from clinicians from any discipline including general practice.
The principal roles of the Phase 2 Lead are:
This is a part-time role, with the expectation of a 0.5 FTE commitment alongside continuation of clinical practice.
