The Medical Schools Council (MSC) is seeking an experienced assessment professional to join us as an External Adviser to the Applied Knowledge Test (AKT).
This advisory role will support the continued development and delivery of a national, high‑stakes assessment taken by UK medical students as part of the Medical Licensing Assessment.
Applicants should have extensive experience of large‑scale, high‑stakes assessments and a strong understanding of assessment quality and governance. Medical assessment experience is not required.
Time commitment: Up to 5 days per year.
Application window: Applications must be submitted by noon on Thursday 11th June 2026.
Interviews will take place on Thursday 25th June 2026.
