Manchester Coastal and Rural Schools Programme

Come to the University of Manchester for our Discovery Day event to find out more about studying medicine and dentistry at the University.
- Meet current students and learn about life at university
- Gain experience in a taster teaching session
- Explore the campus and meet staff
- Learn about careers in your chosen subject
- Engage with hands on practical sessions
- Receive Admissions advice and connect with a student mentor
Travel bursaries are available to cover the costs of travel to the event. Lunch will be provided.
How to apply
Places are limited and applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Live in a coastal or rural village, town or community.
- Have achieved 6 GCSEs at grade 7 and above, and be studying Chemistry and Biology (Dentistry applicants) and Chemistry or Biology plus another science subject (Medicine applicants) at A level.
Apply by the 15th of May.
