InsideUni Medicine is a free resource that provides easy and up-to-date access to information on the application process and life at medical school. The project is supported by NHS England and the Medical Schools Council, and is delivered in partnership with Inside Uni - a community of students sharing advice on applying to university with applicants from underrepresented backgrounds.

InsideUni was started by former students Tommy Gale and Akil Hasmi in 2018 while they were students at Cambridge. Since then, the website has had more than 3,000 students contribute their experiences and advice (including the biggest ever database of individual Oxbridge interviews), and the content has been used nearly 1 million times by 126,000 users.

Now, with the backing of the Medical Schools Council and NHS England, Inside Uni is expanding their project to medical schools. Piloting is taking place at five medical schools this year (Southampton, Sheffield, Keele, Cambridge and Nottingham) with a view to expand across further medical schools soon. The new website will feature free advice from current medical students, allowing applicants to have access to high-quality, first-hand information.
