This post is for four years, or to the award of CCT with potential for an additional grace period of six months, whichever is reached soonest.

£32,569 to £56,394 per annum (Pre 2009 scale)

£33,127 to £58,593 per annum (Post 2009 scale)

The post is available immediately and offers exciting opportunities to develop research, teaching and clinical care in Cardiovascular Medicine at Norwich Medical School (MED), in conjunction with the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH).

As a clinical lecturer (Specialty Registrar level post MD/PhD by the start time) in cardiovascular medicine, you will work under the supervision of Dr Vassiliou within the Cardiovascular Division at UEA. The post is open to any cardiac subspecialty including intervention, imaging, heart failure, devices and adult congenital heart disease. You will be encouraged to develop your own research portfolio, and initially you can support existing projects currently undertaken in the academic cardiology department on heart failure, imaging or intervention.

You will have an MD/PhD in cardiovascular medicine and hold (or be eligible for) an NTN and be able to fulfil all other essential criteria of the person specification. If your thesis has not been submitted by the application closing date, then you are ineligible to apply in this round. Successful candidates may not take up their post until their PhD or MD has been fully awarded.
