Admissions principles
The guiding principles for the selection and admission of students to UK medical schools was prepared following a helpful workshop at the Admissions to Medicine and Dentistry Conference 2009.

The document outlines the different areas that medical schools will consider when selecting students for their programmes. It includes information on a number of key areas including the different checks that will need to be carried out prior to enrolment, information on work experience and dedication to the profession, and the skills and attributes required of prospective students.

It would be worth looking at this to gain a better understanding of what medical schools are looking for in their applicants.
