Location
Choosing your course and preferred medical school is a hard, and potentially life changing, task. Researching the different medical schools, their courses and teaching methods, along with their location, size and facilities, will help you to reach a decision on where you might like to study.
Some of you may like to remain close to home, whilst some may want to experience a new town or city and it is likely this will affect your overall choice. Other factors to consider include nightlife (including the price of a beer or a glass of wine!), size of the university, accommodation facilities, and advice from family, friends and teachers.
Research can take a long time but as you will be based at your chosen location for 4 to 6 years it is worth spending the time and making sure that it fulfils all your requirements.
Attending open days will provide you with an opportunity to look around the campus, accommodation and local amenities.
