Pathology
Pathology is concerned with understanding the process of a disease.

Chemical Pathology
Chemical pathology combines science and medicine. Chemical pathologists working in the laboratory where they are responsible for the clinical direction, quality and management of the service and providing quick results to doctors; and working as a clinician, where they are directly involved in patient care and provide advice to hospital doctors and GPs.

Haematology is concerned with the diagnosis and clinical management of disorders of the blood and bone marrow, as well as the provision of clinical support for the haematology diagnostic laboratory including the blood bank.
