The Medical Schools Council has today launched a new section on its website - careers information for prospective students.

This information provides information on what a career in medicine is like and the different career pathways available to them.

Over 50% of medical graduates will become GPs, providing care in the local community. This is a message that needs reinforcing and so the purpose of this section is to help set realistic expectations on what a career in medicine is like and we hope to encourage prospective students to think about this before embarking on a medical career.
