The General Medical Council (GMC) held a one-day training day on student fitness to practise on 3 November 2008 for Medical School deans, fitness to practise leads, registrars as well as investigators and panelists.
The training is based on the GMC/MSC guidance, Medical Students: professional behaviour and fitness to practise (including aspects recently consulted on such as health and student support). The training will be delivered by colleagues with expertise in fitness to practise and registration as well as senior GMC lawyers, who are involved in training GMC panelists.
