In response to the need for training expressed by medical school staff involved in student fitness practise, the Medical Schools Council work with the GMC to design an annual one day conference with a training element.

The first Student Fitness to Practise Training Conference was held on 21 May 2010 at Woburn House, London. Attendees included representatives from Student Fitness to Practise Committees that deal with medical students. Following the success of the 2010 conference another was held on 20 May 2011 at Woburn House, London. More details of this conference including the programme are available via the link on the left hand side. There are plans to now make this an annual conference. Details of the 2012 conference will be posted in due course.
